I design and build interactive maps for expeditions: routes, live GPS tracking, and storytelling. Built for trips I plan myself, and for teams that need the same craft.
I'm Pete, a geospatial scientist and cartographer based in Bozeman, Montana. By day I'm a wildfire scientist; the rest of the time I'm building maps for my own expeditions and for outdoor brands who need a way to tell a route's story.
I work mostly in Adobe Illustrator, JavaScript, and QGIS, building interactive, scroll-driven route maps and clean static cartography for print and web. If you have an upcoming adventure and are looking for a way to share your stories - let's connect!
